Your data is collected by Le Chalet Aravet. “Personal data” includes any information pertaining to an identified or identifiable natural person (data subject); an identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to a name, an identification number, or one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity. Any personal data collected on the site is primarily used by the editor to manage relations with you and, where applicable, to process your orders.

Article 8 - Right of access, rectification and deletion of your data

In application of the regulations applicable to personal data, users have the following rights:

- Right of rectification: if the personal data held by the Chalet Aravet site is inaccurate, one may request an update to this information;
- Right to deletion of data: users may request the deletion of their personal data, in accordance with applicable data protection legislation;
- Right to limitation of processing: users may ask the Chalet Aravet website to restrict the processing of personal data, in accordance with the assumptions provided for by the GDPR;

All requests must be accompanied by a photocopy of a valid, signed identity document, and must state the address at which the publisher may contact the requester. Article 9 - Use of data

Personal data collected from users is used to provide the Chalet Aravet website’s services, to improve these services, and to maintain a secure environment. The legal basis for processing is the execution of the contract between the user and Le Chalet Aravet. More specifically, the uses are as follows:
- access to and use of the Chalet Aravet website by the user;
- management of the operation and optimisation of the Chalet Aravet site;
- implementation of user assistance;
- verification, identification, and authentication of data transmitted by the user;
- personalisation of services via the display of advertisements based on the user’s browsing history and preferences;
- prevention and detection of fraud and malware (malicious software), and management of security incidents;
- management of any disputes with users;
- sending of commercial and advertising information, according to the user’s preferences;

Article 10 - Data retention policy

Chalet Aravet retains your data for as long as is necessary to provide you with our services or assistance. To the extent reasonably necessary or required to satisfy legal or regulatory obligations, settle disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our terms and conditions, we may also retain some of your data as necessary, even after you have closed your account or we no longer need it to provide you with our services.

Article 11 - Sharing of personal data with third parties

Personal data may be shared with third-party companies, exclusively within the European Union, in the following cases:
- when the user publishes information accessible to the public in the free comment areas of the site;
- when the user authorises a third-party website to access his/her data;
- when Chalet Aravet employs the services of service providers to provide user support, advertising and payment services. These service providers have limited access to the user’s data in the course of providing these services, and are contractually obliged to use it in accordance with the provisions of the applicable regulations on the protection of personal data;
- if required by law to do so, Chalet Aravet may transmit data in order to respond to claims made against the site and to comply with administrative and judicial procedures.

If, in the course of consulting the site, you access any personal data, you must refrain from any collection, any unauthorised use, and any act that may constitute an infringement of persons’ privacy or reputation.
